Ways You Can Help
Help our children get a fresh start at school. Mental Health Clinician Leslie Cost is coordinating a back-to-school drive for our clients. We are collecting school supplies like pencils, pens, colored pencils, paper, pencil case, erasers, highlighters, binders, notebooks, compass, among other things. So while you may be shopping for these items, consider picking up a few more to help children in need. Items can be dropped off at 7038 Owensmouth Ave., Canoga Park, 91303 or 566 S. Brand Blvd., San Fernando, 91340.
Don’t like to go shopping? Consider donating towards a backpack, school supplies, or new shoes to help children start the academic year right. Whether it’s a donation of $15, $25, or $50, please know how important it is for children to feel confident walking into their classroom on the first day. Do you prefer shopping online via Amazon? When you do, Amazon will donate a portion of your purchase price to our agency. It’s really easy. Go to https://smile.amazon.com/ and select El Centro de Amistad as your charity of choice to receive the funds. You’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection, and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will make a donation to El Centro de Amistad.
