A Season of Gratitude, Community, and Giving

A Season of Gratitude, Community, and Giving

A Message from the Interim Executive Director

As we enter the holiday season, I am reminded of the importance of gratitude, community, and the many ways we can make a difference in the lives of others. It is a time to appreciate the connections we share and recognize that some of the greatest gifts we can offer are kindness, compassion, and a willingness to support one another.

At El Centro de Amistad, these values are at the heart of everything we do. For nearly 50 years, we have had the privilege of walking alongside children, individuals, and families through life’s challenges, providing behavioral health services, family support, prevention programs, and connections to essential community resources. Every day, we witness the strength and resilience of the people we serve and the difference that meaningful support can make.

The holiday season brings joy and celebration to many, but it can also be a difficult time for those experiencing financial hardship, loneliness, grief, or uncertainty. During these moments, the importance of community becomes even more meaningful, and even the smallest acts of kindness and generosity can make a lasting difference.

I am especially grateful for our dedicated staff, Board of Directors, community partners, donors, and volunteers whose commitment makes our work possible. Whether through providing mental health support, helping a family access essential resources, or contributing to our holiday giving campaigns, each act of service strengthens the community we share.

Looking ahead to our 50th anniversary in 2027, I am proud of the meaningful relationships we have built and the positive impact ECDA continues to make in our community. Our history is rooted in service, and our future will continue to be guided by compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to the well-being of those we serve.

This holiday season, I encourage everyone to take a moment to express gratitude, reach out to someone who may need support, and find a meaningful way to give back. Together, we can continue creating a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and connected.

On behalf of El Centro de Amistad, I wish you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season filled with peace, hope, good health, and meaningful moments with those you cherish.

With gratitude,
