It is both an honor and a privilege to welcome you to this edition of the El Centro de Amistad newsletter. Having served this remarkable organization for more than 22 years, I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand the compassion, resilience, and dedication that define our mission. I am deeply grateful to serve as Interim Executive Director and to continue working alongside our outstanding staff, Board of Directors, community partners, and supporters as we move forward together.
Every day, I am inspired by the extraordinary work taking place across our Agency. Whether providing behavioral health services, supporting children and families, partnering with schools, strengthening our communities, or advocating for those in need, our team changes lives every single day. That commitment to service has been the foundation of El Centro de Amistad for nearly five decades and continues to guide everything we do.
The months ahead are filled with exciting opportunities. We are expanding programs and partnerships, strengthening our organizational infrastructure, investing in professional development, enhancing the quality of our services, and continuing to seek innovative ways to meet the evolving needs of our community. We are also excited to launch the Mission GRYD Prevention Program, continue growing our community partnerships, and begin preparations for El Centro de Amistad’s 50th Anniversary celebration. This celebration is a milestone that reflects the dedication and impact of everyone who has been part of our journey.
As we look toward the future, I believe our greatest strength will always be our people. Together, we will continue to build upon the strong foundation that has made El Centro de Amistad a trusted community resource while embracing new opportunities to grow, innovate, and serve with excellence.
