Canoga Park, CA – On July 22, 2015 El Centro de Amistad (ECDA) installed their 2015-16 Board of Directors. The inauguration of the agency’s Board President-Luis Cervantes, Vice President-Rich Golisch, Treasurer-Doug Barnett and Secretary-Jerry Fox was officiated by immediate past President Irene Smerigan.
ECDA’s Board President Luis Cervantes has served in financial and operational executive capacities with nonprofit organizations for over fourteen years. The organizations have ranged from seven million to one hundred thirty million dollar annual budgets and over four hundred million in assets. These organizations focused on impacting education, veterans, housing, health and senior care. He also served as an ordained minister for a ten thousand member church in Los Angeles areas for which he and his wife are actively involved in.
Mr. Cervantes was born and raised locally in Pacoima, CA. He received Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Finance from California State University Northridge and Master of Business Administration from Corban University. Mr. Cervantes is married and is the father of two wonderful daughters.

We are beginning this new fiscal year with a spirit of growth as we will be adding six new therapeutic office spaces to our San Fernando site allowing us to increase the number of clients that we are able to serve.” says Tamika Farr, ECDA Executive Director.
